The Edinburgh Fringe Festival features famous comedians and professional musicians alongside student sketch troops and the stars of tomorrow. If you are thinking of visiting Edinburgh to experience the famous Fringe Festival, Cheval Collection has got you covered with the most luxurious places to stay! |
The 2020 Fringe Festival was a much-reduced event, due to the COVID crisis, but the city is bouncing back in 2021, with a scaled-back programme of live performances. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is back and currently happening, from the 6th-30th August.
The Fringe is an open-access event, meaning that none of the performers is required to audition to take part; they simply apply for space, do their own promotion, and hope an audience likes what they do. This space for creativity gives artists the opportunity to tell their story in their own way. Traditionally, the centre of the Fringe is in front of St Giles’ Cathedral on the Royal Mile, almost directly opposite the entrance to Cheval Old Town Chambers.
If you are thinking about visiting Edinburgh, you can’t help but be swept up in this incredible festival and in case, you need any recommendations on the best places to stay, we’ve got you covered!
