Courchevel Brings the Best of the French Alps to India as it Celebrates 80 Years
Now in its fourth year of partnership with One Rep Global, Courchevel Tourism India roadshow
welcomes President Thierry Mugnier on his first visit to the market India
Courchevel Tourism, in partnership with One Rep Global, will host an exclusive three-city roadshow for India’s luxury travel trade, bringing the story of one of the French Alps’ most celebrated winter destinations to New Delhi on 8 September, Kolkata on 9 September and Mumbai on 11 September 2026.
As Courchevel marks 80 years since its founding in 1946, the trade and consumer focussed sessions
will bring together leading luxury travel advisors and trade partners to discover the destination’s
distinctive combination of exceptional skiing, French gastronomy, sophisticated hospitality and Alpine
experiences.
Known as one of the world’s premier ski destinations, Courchevel offers access to the extensive
slopes of Les 3 Vallées, while its renowned ski schools provide opportunities for travellers of all levels
— from first-time skiers to experienced enthusiasts looking to refine their skills. Beyond skiing, the destination offers a diverse range of winter experiences, from Michelin-starred gastronomy and luxury hospitality to wellness, shopping, snow-based activities and experiences for families and adventure seekers.
Today, Courchevel is home to 43 hotels, including 5 Palaces, and 7 Michelin-starred restaurants
collectively holding 11 stars, reinforcing its position among the French Alps’ most distinguished luxury
destinations.
India’s outbound luxury travel market is one of the fastest-growing in the world, with the country’s high-net-worth population expanding faster than any other market globally and outbound trips projected to cross 40 million in 2026. Ski and winter-sports travel is a particularly fast-emerging niche within this: industry estimates put the number of Indians travelling overseas specifically for ski tourism at roughly 30,000 in the most recent season, a figure that has grown steadily as affluent Indian travellers seek more immersive, adventure-led alternatives to conventional luxury holidays.
Alexia Laine, Director of Courchevel Tourism, said: India’s luxury traveller is redefining what a
winter holiday means, less about ticking off a destination, more about depth, discovery and multi-
generational experiences that reward time spent. That is precisely what Courchevel has spent eighty
years perfecting: world-class skiing across Les 3 Vallées, one of the highest densities of Michelin-starred gastronomy in the Alps, and hospitality built for exactly this kind of traveller. We see India not as an emerging market to monitor, but as a market whose expectations already match what Courchevel offers today and we are here to build that relationship for the long term.
Hemant Mediratta, Founder and CEO, One Rep Global, said: ; We’ve spent the last few years
building the infrastructure for Indian luxury travellers to discover destinations like Courchevel properly
— not through generic ski-holiday messaging, but through the specific things that matter to this
traveller: ease of access, the right hospitality partners, and experiences beyond the slopes. This
roadshow is the next step in that positioning, and Courchevel is exactly the kind of destination our
approach was built for.
Ashish Chadha, Founder, Leisure Ways, said, “For the Indian luxury traveller, a winter escape is no
longer simply about skiing. It is about how the destination makes you feel and the richness of the
experience around it. Courchevel brings together an extraordinary combination of skiing, exceptional
hospitality, gastronomy, wellness and experiences that can be deeply personal and varied. What
makes it particularly compelling is its ability to evolve with the traveller, offering something equally
meaningful to a family discovering the Alps for the first time or a seasoned traveller looking for a more
refined and immersive mountain experience.”
