Purposefully conceived to inspire connections and moments of quiet retreat, Vojara opens this October 2026 – as a refined safari-style lodge experience embraced by the spirit and wilderness of Ranthambore, one of India’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. It is the vision of Founder – Arjun Anand, a distinguished wildlife photographer, author, and entrepreneur. Vojara marks a new chapter in his creative transition: establishing a distinctive benchmark for highly personalised wildlife and photographic safari experiences in Ranthambore, driven by genuine anticipatory service and an intuitive understanding of each guest’s preferences.
Initially, what was a vacant patch of land has been responsibly transformed through three years of dedicated afforestation efforts, conscious rainwater harvesting, and sustainable land-use practices. Today, Vojara is a thriving micro-ecosystem. It has a lush forest with over a hundred trees, shrubs and plants, and is frequented by a diverse variety of birds and other fauna. A tranquil water body flows through its forested landscape, to extend the scenic wilderness experience into the lodge and its quiet natural surroundings. The land is replenished with rainwater collected during the monsoons — an important part of a core philosophy that guides Vojara’s responsible approach towards operational excellence.
Spread across four acres, the lodge is located in a picturesque rural setting alongside Bhadlao Village. It features carefully designed shared spaces, elegantly handcrafted interiors and considered use of materials – that complement the serenity of the outdoors. Every touchpoint is delivered with intent and warmth – creating an immersive environment where hospitality feels instinctive.
The resort includes ten expansive suites and guest areas such as the main lounge with discreet corners, a bar, a central courtyard, an open-air terrace lounge, a dining hall, a spa, a swimming pool, and The Boma – a space for bonfires and live cooking. Then, there is The Outpost – with a gallery and an area for guests to experience enhanced photography assistance, interactive sessions, and more.
Arjun Anand’s evolution into boutique luxury hospitality is a natural extension of his years as an entrepreneur, photographer and storyteller. Vojara brings his perspectives together on a new canvas – from documenting the wilderness through photographic safaris and interactive sessions, to creating an engaging environment that guests can experience. The lodge encourages a more intimate relationship with the destination – where the rhythms and stories from its forests become an integral part of guest’s journey.
Wilderness has long been a source of curiosity and creative discovery for Arjun Anand. But his most significant personal inspirations are his wife Vidhi Anand and son Veer Anand, who paved the way for him to conscientiously design Vojara as a private forested retreat. Furthermore, his incredible travels around the world and in India over the years, a passion for collecting art, and interactions with like-minded people, artists, or fellow wildlife enthusiasts – inspired the carefully designed spaces at Vojara. This culminated in a desire to offer personalised hospitality to evolved travellers seeking extraordinary experiences, while extending a lifelong work with wildlife and photography, and sharing knowledge with the next generation of photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.

“Vojara brings together elements that have shaped my journey over the years – my work with wildlife and photography, my love for storytelling, my travels, and my interactions with people who share a similar curiosity about the world. I wanted to create a place that inspires remarkable adventures, unforgettable connections and moments of quiet retreat, while giving guests the freedom to experience Ranthambore at their own pace. At our lodge, this translates into meaningful experiences that leave guests with lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for the wilderness.” – adds, Arjun Anand, Founder at Vojara.
These distinctive experiential pillars are the foundation of each guest journey – bringing together thoughtful design, elevated dining, highly personalised experiences, wellness and conscious living:
- Distinctive Design & Architecture: The overall design language at Vojara balances rustic warmth with a refined global sensibility. Developed in collaboration with Kaushal Sheth & Associates, the lodge weaves together natural stone, lime-plastered walls, expansive windows and open spaces that allow the surrounding forest to remain an integral part of the experience. Arjun’s personal interpretations have also guided the property’s design since the start, with thoughtfully layered influences from his travels. Vojara reflects understated luxury – where nature is not simply a backdrop but an active part of the experience.
The lodge comprises ten exclusive suites across two categories – eight Vojara Suites and two Grand Vojara Suites – arranged in four separate residential blocks. Ranging from 700 to 2300 sq. ft., the suites are generously spacious and well-appointed with expansive bedrooms and living rooms, large bathrooms, balconies and sit-outs that look out into one’s own private patch of lush greens. Equipped with full-service amenities and conveniences – all suites include private butler service, personalised activities like dining, safari planning and photography assistance, and on-call doctor – ensuring that each guest feels effortlessly cared for, secure, and comfortable.
- Activities & Experiences with Anticipatory Service: These are at the heart of each stay for guests to shape their days around their own interests and pace. Photographic wildlife safaris for nature enthusiasts and avid wildlife photographers – are a signature experience at Vojara. The team can craft each safari around specific guest requirements. Preparing equipment and supporting long lenses, understanding animal behaviours, and anticipating photographic opportunities – all can be tailored as per guest needs. Adding another layer of personalised attention, Arjun Anand is also the Photographer in Residence at Vojara and can accompany guests on photographic safaris. At The Outpost, he can spend time afterwards with guests for – photography talks, interactive photo editing sessions, discussing images or exploring post-processing techniques.
Beyond the forest, guests can embark on scenic excursions to see Ranthambore’s rich heritage, meet the local communities and explore the craftsmanship, or retreat to the lodge for wellness treatments, cooking experiences, sundowners, cultural evenings and quiet time by the pool or in their suite.
III. Wellness & Wellbeing to Restore the Senses: Between outdoor activities and safaris, the wellness experience at Vojara is meant for guests to hit pause, restore balance, and rejuvenate the senses. The lodge features a dedicated spa with two treatment rooms and a terrace to enjoy post-spa moments over a relaxing tea and calming views.

- Elevated Dining: Food is an integral part of the lodge experience, hence elevated dining becomes an essential part of the stay, with freshly prepared à la carte dishes spanning global cuisines and India’s diverse regional traditions. Dining here unfolds from intimate celebrations and bush dinners to live cooking and evenings at The Boma, where live grills, conversations, cocktails, and the surrounding wilderness come together in a memorable setting. Each experience is thoughtfully curated, with the team anticipating individual preferences to make every stay feel intuitive, effortless and personal.
- Sustainable Living: This same sense of thoughtfulness extends to Vojara’s responsible approach to sustainability, which begins with its relationship with the land and encompasses rainwater harvesting, local sourcing, organic produce and partnerships with local communities, craftsmen and like-minded businesses. This philosophy of care extends into the way Vojara operates, guided by its three principles – Voj: Care for the Place; Saath: Care for Our People; and Khatirdari: Care for the Guest – reflecting a broader commitment to nurturing its surroundings, people and guests.
These together shape a unique hospitality experience at Vojara – centred around living thoughtfully with the land, welcoming and looking after guests with genuine warmth, and creating a respectful environment where people and community can grow together in Ranthambore.
