Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn expressed gratitude to the Indian Government for dropping the existing requirement of pre departure covid-19 testing. Instead, travellers coming from/via Thailand can now upload self-health declaration on Ministry of civil aviation’s “Air Suvidha” portal. Consequently, requirement of health insurance covering treatment of Covid-19 in Thailand has also been removed by the Thai Authorities.
Governor, said “India is and has always been a significant and primary tourism market for Thailand. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our industry partners in India.”

‘A Million Thanks: Amazing Thailand Night Reception’ event was organised in New Delhi by TAT to express their gratitude and say “Thank You” to the Indian travel industry for supporting and promoting Thailand as a preferred tourist destination for Indian travellers. The event was held at Leela Palace, New Delhi on 8th February 2023.
Musical performances by popular Thai Singer Ms Pui Duangporn and renowned saxophone artist Mr Koh Saxman with his band- The Sound of Siam, and Thai cultural dance performances were conducted. The guests enjoyed a sit down dinner with delicious and authentic Thai food.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) participated in the 30th edition of South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE 2023). 2023 marked the 14th year of Thailand’s presence at SATTE. Representatives of hotels, attractions and DMCs showcased their properties and products apart from meeting the Indian sellers and travel media. This Year Pattaya City had a dedicated booth showcasing the popular seaside’s resorts, attractions and wide range of tourism.
