International and Local Interest for SL-MICE Expo 2025 organized by SLCB
The much-anticipated SL-MICE Expo 2025, organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau
(SLCB)—the national tourism organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign
Employment, and Tourism—will be held in Colombo from 22–26 September 2025. As a premier
event, it aims to strengthen Sri Lanka’s profile on the global MICE map by providing a unique
platform for local and international stakeholders to showcase their products, services, and
innovations. The Expo will serve as a dynamic marketplace for business growth, networking, and
collaboration among MICE professionals worldwide.

to connect with visiting international MICE and travel agents, creating opportunities to network,
showcase, and expand their reach on a global scale.
Mr. Dheera Hettiarachchi, Chairman of SLCB, highlighted that the SL-MICE Expo
stands as Sri Lanka’s premier MICE tourism event, uniquely uniting global and local
industry stakeholders under one roof. He emphasized that the Expo is more than
an event—it is a catalyst for partnerships, a driver of economic growth, and a
platform that showcases Sri Lanka’s potential as a world-class MICE destination.
Highlights of SL-MICE Expo 2025 includes a five-day immersive program featuring a dynamic
business forum, welcome dinner, opening plenary, tailored B2B meetings, a themed gala dinner
combining world-class networking opportunities with leisure experiences, exclusive familiarization tours to Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, showcasing Sri Lanka’s rich cultural and natural
heritage.
